We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Ranger to join our team in educating the public in animal welfare and husbandry through animal encounters. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to animal welfare and the ability to engage with the public effectively. As a Ranger, you will play a vital role in maintaining facilities, educating visitors about animal husbandry and health , and ensuring the safety.

• Monitor and maintain facilities, ensuring cleanliness and safety.

• Conduct educational programmes and deliver to to the public surrounding animal welfare and husbandry

• Enforce regulations and policies to ensure a safe environment for animal and participants.
• Assist in animal management activities, including monitoring and habitats.

• Respond to public inquiries and provide information about the company

• Collaborate with local organisations for community outreach initiatives related to animal welfare and husbandry.

• Safely handling and interacting with animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being

• Assisting with the setup and breakdown of the mobile petting zoo at different locations.

• Transporting the animals and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Previous experience in animal education or animal related experience / jobs ideally in exotic animals.

• Strong communication skills in English are required.

• Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using digital communication tools.

• A passion for animal and outdoor activities is essential for success in this role.

• Must be older than 18 years old 
• A DBS will be carried out 

The closing date will be the 25th May 2025, interveiw will be carried out after this date.

• Assist in animal care and habitat maintenance
• Conduct educational talks on animal welfare and husbandry
• Help set up and break down our mobile petting zoo
• Interact safely and respectfully with animals and the public
• Respond to visitor questions and promote our mission
• Support community outreach initiatives
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for animals and guests

• Enthusiasm for animal welfare and public education
• Experience with animals (especially exotic animals is a bonus!) 
• Confident communication skills 
• Basic IT skills (record-keeping and digital communication) 
• Willingness to volunteer at least once a month, with greater availability in summer

• Must be 16-18 years old 
• Must be willing to undergo a DBS check
